AIdling
The act of putting off meaningful work because you believe future AI will make the task dramatically easier. Often involves spending hours reading AI news, testing new models, or watching demos instead of actually building, writing, or creating.
Unlike procrastination, AIdling feels productive because you’re convinced you’re making the smart decision by waiting for the next breakthrough. The catch is that there’s always another model just around the corner.

Example 1:
“I was going to build my app last month, but I’ve just been AIdling. Every new model makes me think I’ll be able to do it in half the time.”
Example 2:
“Stop AIdling and ship version one. Today’s AI is already good enough.”
Example 3:
“I’ve spent more time watching AI demos than actually using AI. Classic AIdling.”
