A phone number with Area Code 497 is a spam phone call, or a spoofed phone number.

Area Code 497 has not been assigned for use by the North American Numbering Plan Administrator. Area Code 497 is officially planned as a General Purpose area code which is typically assigned to a geographic area, however, it is also designated as an Expansion Code which is reserved for future use if it becomes necessary to expand the current ten digit format. If you receive a phone call from area code 497 it is a spam call. Any phone number such as 497-xxx-xxx does not exist.
