While you're engaged in conversation, they're paying only half attention. The other half they're looking over your shoulder to find someone "better" to talk to.

It was a fabulous VIP party, but the room was full of half-talkers.

person 1 "Hey I saw you running yesterday! Are you on cross country or something?"
person 2 "Yeah, but we don't race more than a few miles at cross country, I'm training for a half marathon"
person 1 "Wow, that's a lot of running!"

Half is Thirteen

Expressed in a mathematical, H= 1+3. H represents the level of intoxication of an individual, while 1+3 denotes the minimum level acceptable under Beac law. The variables 1 and 3 are dynamic and increase over the course of the drinking period, until H is equal to way too many numerical values.

Person A: How was last night?
Person B: Dude, H was definitely = to 1+3 last night.
Person A: Cool story bro. And what you up to tonight?
Person B: Gonna rage. H will equal all kinds of different numbers.
Person A: Makes sense. After all, Half is Thirteen.

halfiness

The happiness that a person feels when, having eaten half of a terrific sandwich, they then remember that they have a whole other half to eat (a fact that they had forgotten in the bliss of that first half).

Midway through lunch today I experienced some profound halfiness when I looked down and beheld the second part of my reuben untouched.
