When you are in public and see someone that you know but they intentionally ignore you. They “guys” you. Probably originated from the sense that someone you don't know is just some “guy”

A grammatically incorrect attempt at constructing the possessive form of "you guys." Fairly common in the upper Midwest but rarely heard in the South, where various forms of "y'all" are at least easier on the ears.
