F.I.T. Scale

A scale used to rate members of the opposite sex,accompanied by forming the thumb and forefinger of both hands into 'L' shapes and raising them in a series of stages while saying Fhi-h-h-h-it! up to a maximum of 5 times.

The scale:
1. Fit: attractive, would happily go out with.
2. Fhi-it: Very attractive, would boast and show pictures to friends if going out with.
3. Fhi-h-it!: Extremly attractive and totaly out of our league.
4. Fhi-h-h-it!!!:'(: Supermodel, someone we'll never be allowed close to.
5. Fhi-h-h-h-it!!?!?!: Impossible, people just arent made this good.

Inherent description of caucasian inner-city dwellers' faces (see townie), with features such as: wind-burned skin; small pissy-blue eyes; withered teeth; a vacant, drunken expression; dirt.

The scaldy-faced bastard was dry-shaving in the shop-window's reflection.

scalded me liver

A phrase that expresses shock when the hot food or drink (esp. tea) did not burn your mouth but on swallowing feels like it scalded your insides/oesophagus/liver, often from eating too eagerly.

"Argh! Just scalded me liver!" (preferably said in a Yorkshire accent after a gulp of tea or swallowing hot pasty).

"Careful, you'll scald yer liver!" (a warning to someone with little self control with hot food/drink, usually a child).
