Bringing your best to an activity or performing extremely well. Used sometimes in contact sports where you are very physical and dominate.

After making a lot of big hits during a sport one would say "DANG! You were laying the lumber out there!" or after getting a very good score on a test you brag to your friends "Yea I just laid the lumber on every single question. That test had nothin on me." OR before an activity a coach might say to his team, "Get out there and LAY THE LUMBER!"

Layla 

This is a girl who is most beautiful and drop dead gorgeous, she is wanted by all men yet, unnatainable because she is so daring, free-spirited, and independent. Eric Clapton wrote a song about Layla having all the guys fall to their knees for her and her walking by looking only ahead towards the future. She is always right with a sharp and intelligent mind. She is confident and sexy. She loves cold weather but also enjoys swimming in the water.

Layer caking 

The act of several people excreting in a enemy or rival's toilet.The (multiple) excretions are continuous and are,at no point until completely finished, to be flushed. Instead, 'layers' are only separated by toilet paper. The end result - which,incidentally, can be expanded by 'icing' or 'finishing touches'- should resemble a (multi)layer cake.

Benny: Hey?!! WTF someone flushed away the layer cake.

Connor: Dont worry. Lets layercake bührers bathroom tommorow again when he is not at home, so the smell can spread.
