The smallest of the four Balearic Islands, off the East coast of Spain, in the Mediterranean sea. Since the 1980s tourists crowding the island over the Summer season have become the main source of income for its inhabitants. Thus, both population and infrastructure have grown excessively. It was a truly magical piece of Earth until the late 20th century.

Cute little island near Ibiza that was an unspoiled haven of tranquility until the late 20th century and has now become a tourist Mecca. Steady growth keeps eroding its soul and locals don't seem to do much about it.

- Beaches in Formentera are spectacular, but the local government has tarred most of the old roads and keeps issuing licenses to build new ugly buildings.
- I know. People never learn.

If da country-music dude who requested dat his pals "prop him up beside da jukebox" and "put a stiff drink in his hand" if he kicked da bucket were plied with enough of said powerful liquor, said "firmentation" fluids within his system might cause him to become so solid and rigid dat his corpse would just remain upright "all on its own" --- no "propping" needed.
