when someone speaks in a fashion that confuses people with obtuse interests. speaking in a different context but yet still the same language. talking in a way that plain people just dont get

advisor:Ma'am your car's engine has no motor oil. it no longer runs.

bumquesha:what do you mean?? whats oil? i dont think i have ever even used oil...

advisor:let me put this in laman terms ma'am : its the shit needed to make your car's engine run. kind of like if i took all the blood out of you, you would no longer run. got it?

not on speaking terms

(1) Individuals are "not on speaking terms" when a negative emotion (anger, jealousy, pride, etc.) eliminates the willingness to speak with another.

(2) This expression can also be applied to inanimate objects that are not working well together.

Didn't you hear? Michelle and Rachel are not on speaking terms. Rachel is pissed by what Michelle said earlier. I told Rachel she is better off confronting Michelle than bottling up her anger.

Hugging Terms

The point in a relationship where two people are comfortable hugging wuthout awkward tension. Both parties find the opposing party tolerable and find it courteous to open their arms to the other. During these presious moments of the hug, both parties demonstrate appreciation and exceptance of the other. Aswell, both parties feel comfortable with other people seeing the hug, and feel as though, even if they are being judged by others about the hug, that they are not in a serious realtion ship. This step follows the "Sup + Head-Nodd" phase and leads on to become a "I Love You... Your my favorite, without any emotions for the other" period. Please note, that the " I Love You " is strictly on a friend to friend basis and not an actual relationship
