Slate

Slang for a person who resembles a blank slate, obviously. A slate could be viewed as a waste of time and space, but not all slates are irredeemable.

Common features of a slate:
- Indistinguishable
- Unaware
- Highly defensive or not defensive enough
- Makes little attempt to be heard
- Makes little attempt to listen
- Unable to recognize the possibility that they are in a box/categorized

- Is most certainly in a box/categorized

- Is terrible at defending themselves against insults and fails to maintain a presence in arguments.

“Wow, you’re really going to let them shit on you like that? You’re acting like a slate.”

“Ok so which one is it? Do you think its good, bad, or a bit of both? I just want your opinion stop being a slate.”

A character only used to make AUs of said character. Usually, the aus are made by fans who don’t want to make a completely original character but who still want to make a character.

Person A: “this is Swap!OC, an au of OC”
Person B: “I’ve seen like 5 aus of OC, at this point they’re a blank slate character.”
