A pejorative term created within and used by the TTRPG community(specifically the D&D and OSR Community) to describe one of the most toxic elements within the community.
Ernie Stu
When the DM/GM projects themselves on an NPC so that they become the hero of the story.
It is used to describe that snowflake character that the Dm/Gm is running.
"Ernie Stu" is used instead of “Mary Sue” or “Gary Stu” within the TTRPG Community.
Ernie Stu is however a placeholder with in the community due to the possibility of misgendering a character or person. The only stipulation for the eventually gender neutral or multiple gender specific variants is that the name or names must include “Ernie” in the name in it( anagrams are acceptable).
When a Gatekeeper attacks a party member, we all roll initiative.
