Melanated femicide is the murder of melanated women and girls by the hands of melanated men in their households who inflict nefarious acts of violence against the women in impoverished communities on a day to day basis. In particular, an occurring theme within the melanin manosphere is attaching masculine traits to melanated women with the purpose of excluding them from definitions of beauty and softness. The idea that melanated women and girls are undeserving of protection has been a common perception since American slavery. As we enter new generations, this idea is transmitted in different ways, such as through social media.
