CatSites

from the word “COPY CAT” & cat/neko
word to be mention:

catter - cat●ter
catting - cat●ting

CatSites - referred to a websites with stolen series from either manga, manhwa, manhua or comic.

most of the time, catting(the act of making catsite) most often happens in scanlated series of a manga, their reasoning is “the scanlators just copy them so I will just stole it, the scanlator will be the one to take a blame while I generate money for myself”.

the catter’s(person who do catting or creates catsite) purpose for creating catsites is to make easymoney by placing affiliates or ads, most of the time they’re the people who puts redirection ads(which is annoying), they make easy money, easier than anyone, easier than the scanlator itself.

They(the catter) sometimes create an api to stole a manga automatically and post it in their catsite, example of this is manganelo and webtoonxyz, they don’t own or scanlates anything in their site but they earn.

From good to worst format; manga/webtoon/etc… > scanlation > CatSites.

CatSites is more terrible than scanlation, but it doesn’t mean that scanlation shouldn’t abide the copyrights law, we must focus in those two, but never forgot CatSites, because even scanlation is terminated CatSite won’t, because CatSites leave with us and it is greed.

Under the Cat's Paw

Very drunk, specifically on gin.

A result of the "gin craze," British government tried to stem the flow of gin with prohibitive taxes and rules, which drove the gin scene underground during 18th-century England. Exploiting a loop-hole in these new regulations, where a bartender couldn't be prosecuted for serving gin if the police couldn't be sure exactly which bartender served it, wooden plaques shaped like a black cat (hence "Old Tom gin") were mounted on the outside wall of some pubs. These cat plaques had little paws, and under the cat's paw was a slot to put money in and a small lead tube. From the tube would come a shot of gin, poured by the bartender, who remained anonymous from inside the pub.

Today, "under the cat's paw," simply means to be very drunk on gin, perhaps to great excess, as that is where most of these gin-crazed bar-patrons would have spent most of their time.
"I'm going to be under the cat's paw tonight!"

"Billy, if you don't slow down on those martinis, you'll be under the cat's paw in no time!"

"I can't remember a thing- I was absolutely under the cat's paw!"
