The honorific title given to a person (usually a third rate actor) who hasn't been seen on TV for years, but suddenly appears in a local newspaper story, Pantomime or dies.

"TV legend, Kevin Seep who appeared in washing powder advert in the 80's will be one of the contestants in the next "I'm A Celebrity"
"Agnes Flange, the TV legend who appeared in the Payton Place spin-off, died last month at the age of 81."
