Loosely coined by viewers, fans, and media associated with the NFL Draft, wherein each pro team has 15 minutes per round during the draft to decide, among many aspiring athletes, who to draft as a player. The NFL Draft draws such media coverage for analysis that each draft selection becomes instantaneous fodder for sports journalism scrutiny.
Aaron's graduation depends on how his grades are for this last semester. He finds out in 12 days, so he is on the clock.
The company's inability to make a decent profit during the last quarter has put them on the clock for this next month; a loss will likely result in heavy firings.

Get the Clockmug. A clock has 2 types. A watch, which you wear and a clock that you hang on the wall. 🕒 tells you the time. Without it, you probably would have been late for everything. It contains 12 numbers. For 12, you'd say '60'. For 6, you'd say '30'. Clocks have two things. The one is for minutes and the other one is for hours. If the long one is at 6, and the short one is at 4, then we would say 'It's 4 O'clock 30'. Clocks usually make the sound 'tick Took'
