carte blanche

Carte blanche literally means "blank check." It is a term used when person A does a favor for person B and in return requests carte blanche (aka, a promised favor in the future.) Just like a blank check can be any amount, carte blanche could could be any range of favors.

A Folk Metal band from Argentina that has realeased 7 albums, their first album (Rata Blanca) was released in the '88 and their latest album (El Camino Del Fuego) was released in the 2002. In english the name means "White Rat".

Grand Blanc

A classy suburb of Flint (NOT Detroit). Shockingly nice area and generally safe considering it borders one of the most dangerous cities in the nation. Characterized by being one of the few nice areas to live in in Genesee County, even more known for having one of the best school systems in the state (top 5%) -- the reason why its school is huge and WAY overpopulated. If you miss class, just ask one of your 40+ well-dressed, drama-loving classmates for the notes. Also characterized by its rich, snobby citizens. Everyone is pretty, but usually not nice - and incredibly spoiled.

Guy 1: "Damn that girls hott, bro"
Guy 2: "Dude. She's from Grand Blanc...everyone knows they're only pretty on the outside"

Bland Loyalty

When a person defines themselves by the products they use. This is not unlike the pepsi v. coke arguement or claiming one chain restaurant is better than the rest. Except for the fact that most of us stop caring at the age of twelve. This is usually due to said person having no discernible personality.

Social Leper: "OH EM GEE I just got a Mac arent you jeeeealous? those comercials with that cool guy and that other guy liek totally sold me on it. Macs are liek soo totally better than PCs. Now im like totally going to make my album on this thing... how do you turn it on?"

Rest of the World: *YAAAAAAWNSKIES* Another boring person with Bland Loyalty issues.
