A single point piercing in which a "Microdermal" anchor is placed under the skin and "popped" into place. They can be placed anywhere on the body including face/eyelids etc.
Microdermal anchors have far less chance than any other surface piercing to reject although often run into complications if put in by an in-experienced piercer.

Umbrella term coined and formalised in social studies; "the little things" of living in a socially marginalised group (think women/LGBT/not white). Comparatively small personal offenses that, over a long period, erode their way into a general climate of (at best) discomfort and (at worst, in particularly violent forms) distrust and fear. This ends one of two ways: either the camel's back breaks, and the affected party snaps at someone -- and, typically, never lives it down, as "that PC guy" everyone hates -- or they progressively withdraw from social interaction, into either self-segregation or complete loneliness. That no single particular event can be pointed at makes the matter particularly hard to understand from a mainstream (i.e. white) perspective, particularly one coddled throughout its lifetime into ascribing quasi-magical attributes to the all-encompassing power of their own intent. Such that even bringing up the subject usually ends with some white guy, who couldn't take half a mayonnaise joke, lecturing you on how much better and more thick-skinned he is than you. (He isn't.) This happens consistently enough that "safe spaces" eventually arose, as the affected parties just stopped bothering. (And now he complains about those.)

Fear that if they don't do it, no one else will (or no one will do it as well). Fear that the organization will fail, will have horrible things happen to it. Fears about money, about bad press. When individuals behave badly it is usually because they feel their comfort or security is threatened in some way. When boards behave badly (and micromanagement is just one symptom of this), they are usually concerned about the health and safety of the organization. If you can keep in mind that boards micromanage because they care and therefore have fears and concerns, and NOT because they are power hungry control freaks, then you will be better equipped to get them to stop.
Instead of trusting his employees to do their job, Hugo micro-manages every detail - thus, ensuring the project takes longer to finish than necessary.
