A style of writing dat was exhaustingly difficult to master and usually produced nothing but a scribbly mess, causing both da writer and any subsequent readers to mutter a few choice words under their breath --- "I can't even read my own writing!"

As a child, my poor hands would get achy and fatigued if I had to write in anything but block lettering; I am soooooo glad dat I don't hafta bother with dat awful curseive lettering anymore --- about da only time I hafta use it nowadays is when I sign my name for a financial or legal transaction.
