Holland Patent

A town in upstate New York that surrounding towns (Utica, New Hartford, Whitesboro, etc.) think is a hick town. In retaliation, we have parties where there is too much drinking to prove we're just as cool as you city folk.
"That guy is driving his tractor to Stewart's to fill it up with gas!"
"Yeah, well, we're in Holland Patent."

note: this has actually happened.

BOMI PATEL

Husky, brown, ludoo, and full of nuckrah, this man will always be remembered. He is a legend in the Zoroastrian Association of Houston's Youth Group and made a life-changing impact on the few, lucky soles who saw his churbas and listened to his nuckrah.
He knew how to make us laugh, even when he was being as serious as one could be. With videos made by his fans, Bomi Patel has proven to be a natural born comedian, and source of inspiration. Thank you Bomi. Thank you.

Paterno Party

Wild, Gatsby-esque affair filled with references to furniture, "snow-storms", designer clothing and expensive watches. Nearly always overseen by "Papa" Paterno as he angrily scrambles around the kitchen cooking for about 108655677675753747 people. Usually a pretty big hit and has gained a semi cult status on campus. Cops rarely (if ever) show up and people usually return for the next rendition.
Experienced partygoer: Where are you going Saturday night?
Kid: Not sure, why what's up?
Experienced Partygoer: Paterno's having a party! He told me to invite people!
Kid: Awesome! I love Paterno Party's!
