A "Tim Anus" is a phrase used to describe when something has gone wrong. It originated from a name and has been changed over many years. The term "Tim Anus" can be used in any situation although it is meant for when something mechanical goes wrong.
Chaz - "Hannah's computer is being a right Tim Anus!"
Stu - "Tell me about it! my computer was being a Tim Anus too the other day"
