Hardcore Pokémon 

The process of playing through a Pokémon game by giving each Pokémon one life. It is played through the honour system in which once one of your Pokémon faints, you may not revive it. To defeat the Elite Four is the object, without allowing all of your Pokémon to die.

Schrodinger's Pokemon Syndrome 

The glitch that occurs, in Pokemon GO, when the game freezes whilst catching a Pokemon, leaving the Pokemon inside the pokeball both caught and not caught simultaneously.

The term was coined during a conversation between two gentleman in Suffolk England, on the 7th of July 2016.

Starter Pokemon 

Refers to the Pokemon that you can start with in the mainline Pokemon games. You get to pick one of three of these Pokemon per game. All of them have a three-way evolutionary line. They are usually one of the strongest Pokemon introduced and they are usually one of the most commonly used Pokemon throughout the game and by other players. So far they have all been of the Grass, Fire, and Water type.
