The mental tax on a piece of entertainment that has not aged particularly well to the new standards of not being: racist, transphobic, homophobic, sexist, etc.

I used to love Harry Potter but ever since I became woke they are harder to watch, I guess that is just the woke tax at work

when living in a shared house the person who is responsible for the shopping or cooking and really can't be arsed can opt to buy a takeaway as forfiet for being lazy.

guy1: man, i really can't be arsed cooking tonight, i think i'll pay takeaway tax.
