Sobergerism names the particular intellectual style that combines the Sokalist's performative exposure of nonsense with the Mobergerite's categorical dismissal of entire domains of inquiry. The Sobergerist doesn't just expose bad arguments—they position themselves as the ultimate arbiters of what counts as real knowledge, using the tools of academic critique to establish and enforce epistemological boundaries while remaining immune to similar critique themselves. It's a form of intellectual gatekeeping armed with the full apparatus of scientific authority, philosophical rigor, and performative debunking, creating a fortress of legitimate knowledge that can dismiss any challenger as either fraudulent (Sokalism) or categorically invalid (Mobergerism).

When you’re some sort of intoxicated (from drinking, smoking, etc.) and laughing harder than you should at something but then you blink and all of a sudden you’re super sober and conscious and it lowkey feels like you time traveled
