1. To die, especially by suicide.
2. To exit.

Origins: The fadeout at the end of motion pictures. Popularized in the 80's, as a term for suicide, by the band Metallica in the song "Fade To Black".

Black Solidarity Day

A memorial day, created in 1969 by Panamanian-born activist, historian, and playwright, Carlos E. Russell. It is annually observed the day before Election Day in November, the first Monday of the month. Its purpose is for African diasporic people to exercise a 24- hour moratorium from shopping or participating in other commercial activity such as using the transit system. You can only spend money at Black owned businesses. The Pan-African ideal of the observance is to highlight racial inequality and the gap between the wealthiest of one of the most powerful nations in the world and those living in poverty.
"I'm telling everyone in my family not to spend one dime on Black Solidarity Day."

Sofia Black D'Elia

A gorgeous girl from the U.S. version of the original controversial UK TV show by the same title. She played Tea- a confident and openly lesbian girl who was sexually confused and also after the other lead character- Tony. Since she was the only different character than the original British version, people liked her character more. Still, she is also the prettiest and seemed to be the most experienced, so she seemed to gain the most fans out of all the other actors. Also, out of all the other actors, she seemed to be the most defensive about the controversial content within the US Skins episodes. After the show got cancelled after the first season (not as a result of her performance, because she and her episode were praised by critics), she announced on her twitter that she was disappointed.

She is the most popular out of all of the US Skins actors on twitter (sblackdelia) and has many fan videos on Youtube. She is often called a prettier version of Selena Gomez. Because of her likable nature, beauty, great acting skills, and devotion to her work, she definitely seems like she will become a breakout star in the future.
Person 1: "Sofia Black D'Elia is the only reason I watched U.S Skins"

Person 2: "Yeah...there's just something about her.."

Rebecca Black

A lyrical genius of our generation.

She is clearly talking about the struggle for identity which all teenagers go through, when they don't really know their place in the world, or their 'seat' if you will. Seriously, this girl is a fucking genius.

I thought it was more about the socioeconomic role of those in the front seat taking the lead in propelling industry and fiscal disparity between social classes, and those in the backseats being beholden to their whims. She's in the backseat, and clearly at the behest of the monetary elite who are driving her about, but she's also achieved a zen-like calm about her plight and has learned to enjoy the backseat, which she shares with her friends in a similar plight. The awkward smiles on their brace-laden mouths expresses a subtlety of both pain, at what they can never have, and an almost joy at their acquiescence to capitalism's class divergence. She's at peace with the back seat, and I think we can all take comfort in that lesson.

But lest we forget, she is sitting in the middle of the three back seats. She can still perfectly see straight ahead at the wide open roads aka opportunities to move up in the world. Clearly she still feels some longing and jealousy towards the monetary elite. The repetition of "fun fun fun fun" seems as if she is trying to drum it into her head that she is content with her social standing, but she is not truly believing it. I hope we get a sequel to the video.
Rebecca Black is an auto-tuned Fran Drescher.

"Yesterday was Thursday,
Today is Friday,
Tomorrow is Satuday,
And Sunday comes afterwards."
