Script Frenzy

An event during the month of April (changed from June) in which participants attempt to write a screenplay or stageplay of 100 pages or more. The playwrights who write 100 pages or more are winners. The brainchild of Chris Baty, the creator of both Script Frenzy and NaNoWriMo.

Participants may begin writing April 1. The deadline is April 30.

barnacle script

A stand-alone software module that can be slapped onto an existing application to enhance it's function or performance.

This is typically a JavaScript file that can be linked in a vanilla web page to add -- at load time -- Rich Internet Application (RIA) behaviors to the existing UI controls.

A "pefect" barnacle would be effective without any other changes to the web page code (but would allow incremental additions of attributes to customize the behavior).
I found a smart-table barnacle script we can stick on our web page to make those tables sortable and filterable.

I wrote a calendar barnacle that automatically converts any input box with class="date" to a calendar picker field.

script kiddies

A normally pre-teen computer user that 'borrows' hacker programs to cause mischief. They do not understand how to make or use a true virus, but that's how they get their kicks/ Incapable of trying anything like 'red alert' or 'nimbda', they flock like vultures when a real worm opens up a hole in someone's security.
Bob: Script Kiddies attacked our board again.
Joe: Still got that trojan kicking around? I've got an IP tracker...
