faded memories

Former local unsigned Jefferson Township band. Went through a bevy of names (including "Scout", presumably a pun off of Finch) befored settling on Faded Memories. Originally started off as a gentle emo band, yet as they progressed the vocals became less and less sung and more and more screamed. Constantly ridiculed by most of the Jefferson "scene" (lead singer Vin Crapello had made enemies with many high profile members), Faded Memories was never given an unbiased chance by most. After one final show, an acoustic set at Camp Jefferson in which many people in attendance would not remain quiet, FM broke up. However, the band, minus Vin, has entirely reformed and is now aptly known as Rise From the Fall.

body memories

A hypothetical psychological construct with no substantial empirical support, which claims that memories can be stored outside of the brain, in locations distributed throughout the body. It is invoked by some therapists to explain physical symptoms in people whom the therapist assumes to have suffered from some trauma, usually sexual, in childhood. For example, a client with a history of stomach aches may be told that something traumatic happened to that part of the body, and recovered memory therapy is used to "recover" the memory. With suggestions and imagination, the client may come to believe that, for instance, someone rubbed their penis against their stomach when they were two years old. The fact that this is a prime example of false memory syndrome is denied by the therapist who usually believes he or she is helping retrieve real memories.

This is not to deny that sometimes, some kinds of touch can cue legitimate, real memories. However, to infer abuse from physical symptoms in this way is utterly invalid, as is the inference that conscious, recallable memories can be stored in muscle tissue.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

The only game in the Kingdom Hearts series that has a decent storyline and is really worth playing. However, due to the fact that it has a different battle system and actually is somewhat difficult compared to the rest of the series, it is often mindlessly bashed by fans of the other two games.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories introduced Organization XIII; therefore, it is much more awesome than the first game, which completely lacked them except in Final Mix.

It is also much more awesome than the second PS2 game, the one that killed them off.
