Simolean

A fictional currency used in some Maxis games, represented by the legal "subsection symbol," "§".

It is, perhaps, a reference to a Neal Stephenson short story, The Great Simoleon Caper, in which an online currency is developed called the Simoleon for use in "the Metaverse," a virtual, networked reality, as established in Stephenson's oeuvre.

It may simply be a reference, however, to an uncommon colloquialism.

I typed in "rosebud" into the cheat console and got a whole bunch of simoleans.

snake-oil simplification

When someone oversimplifies a task in order to get your buy-in. This is something done typically by sales people in order to clinch a sale, or by software management in order to convince developers to assign small estimates to large and complicated tasks

That mgmt slide show was a total snake-oil simplification! When you think about it for a few minutes its clear that providing the functionality described will be a lot more complicated than just plugging component A into server B. Who agreed to the effort estimates on this anyway!?!? We're screwed man, we'll never make this date!

To get simobiled. To lose reception on your cell phone or to not have any at all.

You are being simobiled, when having a phone call with someone on the, but not limited to, simobil.si mobile network and your call gets dropped.

The expresion can be used in various situations where someone gets dropped, dumped, or gets out of touch with someone.

Due to incredible lack of quality and poor simobil mobile connection, placing calls is almost imposible without troubles, so the expresion simobiled came in to wide use.
