False motivation

1.Buying into the illusion that you're content with someone or something in hopes that eventually you really will be. 2. Using someone as "false motivation" in a relationship, hoping they will make you happy so that you don't have to deal with your own reality.

He was trying to escape his demons, using false motivation in hopes that she would silence them.

The Mutilations

A teenage Punk/Blues/Garage/Indie/Psychedelic/Alternative Rock trio based out of The Manor neighborhood in San Leandro, CA formed in early 2011. The group includes dedicated musicians, Jordan Macapagal on drums, Antonio Villegas on bass, and Eric Escobedo on guitar and vocals. They are known for their vintage yet contemporary sound, aggressive attitude, and trippy deep lyrics that tell dark stories that are fictional or based on true events.

My favorite song by The Mutilations is "59 Lovers".

Modulation hands

Commonly misenterpreted for jazz hands, modulation hands are visually the same, except performed during a modulation in the piece of music which is being performed/listened to. The modulation in most cases is of a semitone difference, followed usually by a change of key. Such modulations (and thus oppertunities for the use of modulation hands) are most commonly found in music of a slightly more cheesy varietly, and gospel music.

Dude! I was singin' some gospel music in choir yesterday and I was just like 'Modulation hands!' when we got to the key change...
