A euphemistic corporate term used in farewell emails, most notably to indicate to the entire company someone's ass got fired.
Please be advised that as of last Friday, Bill is no longer employed by the company. We would like to thank Bill for his contributions to the organization over the past 5 years and wish him well in his "future endeavors".

A phrase often described to something that will be done within a short time, the near. Nobody knows how long the near future is, its a mystery. It is often used to shut people the fuck up when they will ask when something will be done.

When a Youtuber stops making an argument mid video, to argue about potential stupid comments in the future.
When your best friends says "I think you act retarded. Not retarded in a mentally disabled way, but in a extremely stupid way."
And you reply "Man you're future-proofin so hard right now, just to not get called out by friends for saying the R word like that in 2021"

For those who believe it is uncivil to only have one month of the year devoted to Black History. "Black to the Future" is an alternative phrase because it's time!
Mom: "How was school today?"
Kid: "My teacher taught us about George Washington Carver."
Mom: "Let me guess it's February 1st."
Mom: "Tell your teacher "Black to the Future" replaced Black History Month, and UD is leading the charge!
