A small, blue-black Pokémon that looks like it has a Beatles-haircut. It likes to eat anything, and it doesn't care what it is. It learns its surroundings by biting as well, and by tackling too. It evolves into Zweilous, and its final evolution is pseudo-legendary Pokémon Hydreigon.

Deinos might look cute, but they're more dangerous than you can imagine!

Deins

Deins is a Filipino slang word coming from the Filipino phrase "hindi naman". English equivalents would be "hell no" or "no way" although these are only equivalent in the sentiment of use and not the literal translation as there is no specific English translation for "naman".

Dein (without the s) is also used in the same context.

It is believed to have originated in the South of Metro Manila, specifically the Alabang region, but is coming into wide usage all over Metro Manila.

Karla: Did you make out with that guy last night?
Bea: Deins, girl. He was hella fugly!

intelligent design

An attempt by the apologists for creationism to artificially inject their metaphysical theory with scientific credibility. Intelligent design makes the "deduction" that the development of complex life on this planet was an intelligent creator, largly on the basis of argument by personal incredulity, a flawed understanding of Darwinian natural selection and fundamental misunderstandings of basic principles of thermodynamics and biology. Advocates claim natural selection/evolution (which they frequently confuse) are impossible, and often have links to other biblical-literlists that believe the earth is only 30000 years old, and other such fantasies. There is reason that the evidence would lead any impartial person to come to such conclusions; it is therefore an example of wishful thinking and by the principle of Occam's razon is a metaphysical (faith) based belief, not a scientific one. The continued deliberate obtuseness on this issue has led to fundamentalists attempting to force science teachers to present it in the classroom, and the general devaluing of science in the population of the US and other countries as a whole.

Although there is not a scrap of evidence for intelligent design, it is impossible to disprove (because god can do anything!), and hence it is a metaphysical theory.

Because natural selection is demonstrably observably occuring right now, it is a scientific theory.

Deine Mutter

"Deine Mutter"-jokes are often used among German teenagers. You can use them to insult someone (or his/her mother).

Otherwise you can use "Deine Mutter!" -> "deine mudda!" (pronounce it die-ne mu-dah) as a slang for "shove it" or when you want to deny sth.

And you can compare it with "your mum".

As an insult:

- "Deine Mutter steht vor KiK und schreit "Nur ich bin billiger!"."
(Your mother stands in front of KiK (that's a cheap boutique, where nobody wants to buy his/her clothes) and shouts "Only I am cheaper!" (cheaper in the meaning of slutty))

And as "shove it":

- "Bring doch den Müll runter"
(Carry off the trash)
- "Ey, deine Mudda!"
(Your mum!)

rhode island school of design

One of the top, if not the top, art schools in the USA. Other art schools / art students are always trying to put it down (despite its incredibly long list of notable alumni and high rankings) by calling it overrated (some people say Yale is overrated too, whatever). Popularly known as "RISD" (Riz-dee). Notable alumni include Seth Macfarlane and Kara Walker. The school has an acceptance rate of 35% as of 2010 according to the college board. Risd has been graced by the presence of numerous famous/important people, like Yo-Yo Ma. RISD students have had the opportunity to work with engineers and designers from NASA. The school has awesome facilities and a career services department that pretty much rivals that of most other art schools in the states.

People often comment on how weird RISD students dress. Many RISD kids are seen as (and admittedly, really are) hipsters.
