Alive but Gay

A picture from an on-going show called Ninjago has started circling the internet. It's a picture from one of the earlier seasons that came out a few years ago, with short updates as to what has happened to some of the main favorite characters. one character, Cole, was marked as "Alive but Gay". This is a phrase rooted in homophobia, but that has been adopted to be a meme about how someone has come out as gay.

"Have you heard from diana from highschool lately? I haven't heard from her in a while"
"Oh, she's alive but gay"

Alive Internet Theory

The opposite theory of the dead internet theorem.
The theory states that even in spite of disappearing original media, dead sites and the erosion of time a subset of people will always interact to uphold, continue and carry on the media they know and even continue to produce media based off of it.

The phrase used by the twenty one pilots fandom. Usually stated or commented as a sort of greeting, similar to "have a nice day" or "I hope the best for you". It's also commented under posts of twenty one pilots fans that seem depressed or sad and is then taken literally to stay alive, to stay strong, and that the conditions will only be temporary.
