Most teenagers start getting labeled when they start middle school.
I'm wrongly labeled as a prep,true preps go to boarding schools.
I honestly don't care anymore,I'm mostly seen as a prep
because I shop at stores like Hollister,Abercrombie,American Eagle,Areopostal
and most of all the clothes I have are just about all designer and name brand.
I also have money and live in a nice house and,I have alot
of friends.The thing is though people that are goth,emo,scene whatever you wanna call it I'm actaully friends with,in fact my best friend is emo.Although I don't wear band t-shirts and big chunky neon sneakers
I'm friends with alot of them.My preppy friends aren't bitches and aren't heartless and are not brain washed by trends,and aren't sex craved.Truth is were not all clones,we may shop
at the same stores but Emo,scene,goth or
whatever have no right to say were all clones,and brain washed cause they do the exact samething,they hang around in a group that dresses and does the same things,and shop at the same stores.They follow their groups trends aswell as preps follow trends.They do it
every bit as much,and to call us clones and call you individuals is hypocritical.
I've realized that the two stereotypes that hate each other the most are scene,emo,
goth or whatever you wanna call it and preps they tend to really not like eachother.
What I don't see is if we didn't have stereotypes I'm sure we could all get along fine.
Emo,scene,or whatever they tend to think they are more profound,more of an individual,and think preps are brainwashed.Preps tend to think their more popular fit in better,have more sucess and alot of the time think emo and scene kids are disturbed
and complain a whole lot,and hate preps for no particular reason but my opinioun is
when it comes down to it we all have different personalities,and only hate people
who hate each other.If you open up to what I'm saying you can understand,or you can be ignorant and say "oh this is stupid" regaurdless you know I'm right about what I'm saying.Yes some people can be complete bitches,I agree,although I think if it wasn't for stereotypes people woundn't hate eachother as much,and school would be a little more bearable for kids.I also thinks its ignorant and utter stupidity to hate someone because they where hollister,abercrombie,and all those stores,and have blonde hair and are well known,or if they have black hair,and where tight jeans with neon sneakers,and studded belts with band t-shirts.Will people of all kinds ever learn to get along?The world may never know.

2. Someone who uses ditxy phrases like "watevs" and "lyk".
3. A complete bitch whp has nothing better to do with her life but shop at Abercrombie ad talk about how sensitive they are and talk about their friends behind their backs.

Preps are people who like to wear Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, and Hollister. We're usually rich and can most likely be spotted with other preppy people.
Don't assume that we're assholes, clones, or snotty. I am a proud prep and hang out with other preps. We are individuals and smart. We don't think were better than each anyone else, we hang out with each other because we have common interests. Don't hate us because of what we wear.

Preps are people who go to preparatory school, as most of the defintions say.
But a prep, in another definition, is someone who wears Hollister, Abercrombie, Abercrombie and Fitch, and the occasional American Eagle. I mean, most of American Eagles' clothes are butt-frickin-ugly right?
First of all is the clothes. I already went over that.
Second is the hair. If the gurls wear their hair in pony tails with "cute little bows", scrunch their hair, or wear it in pig tails, and dye their hair blond, theyre probably preps. If the guys wear theyre hair the same exact way every day and have short hair or long straight hair, theyre probably a prep.
Third is the attitude, if the gurls act all nice to their friends, talk about them behind their backs ALL THE TIME, dont laugh at jokes made by other groups/subcultures, theyre preps. If the guys talk to you because they have no one else to talk to(no matter how much of a loser you are), if they talk about sports and nasty things, theyre most definatly preps.
Fouth is their two-face-..edness. If, when the suspected gurl is not with her friends and isnt acting like a dumb blond, shell be really nice to you and pretend she didnt make rumors about you, shes probably a prep. If the guys talk to you and theyre being their true selves (kind of nerdy, not perverted, and just carefree) theyre preps.
Fifth is the music. If theyve never heard of ATL, TDG, or WTK, and only have songs theyve heard on the radio, theyre preps.

preps are high class teenagers usually in junior high to high school. Parents are usually wealthy and buy most clothing for their sons/daughters. Clothing worn is usually J.lindeberg, Lacoste, Abercrombie & fitch, Gucci & DnG. Preps only wear lacoste or puma shoes. Preps are usually popular and have higher class status to everyone else except scene teenagers. Preps always have techno, mainstream, trance or rap on their ipod's. They always have a cellphone (new) and never have to pay for it. Preps arent all brainwashed, most of them are very intellegent and just want to look mainstreamed. Preps get a bad rap, but its usually from lower class people trying to make themselves feel better for their short-comings.
