motivation check

A chant used in many military branches to augment the "motivation," or spirit of a particular unit. Used notably in many JROTC groups during roll call @ drill meets, athletic tournaments, etc., such a ubiquitous pattern of speech invokes an instinctive human aggression in said unit.

The motivation check, though at times may appear facetious, panders to our need for something funny to say, but in reality allows us to lose our individuality to achieve a collective identity.

"(insert unit here), MOTIVATION CHECK!"

When u try and check someones vibes, typically done with a knife but also done with blunt objects like a males vagina or breasts

A term that makes a cancellation seem less offensive.

rim check

When a person thats playing attempts to dunk but all they get is rim. This means that ball is in their hand and the ball 'checks' off the rim.

Bob layed down the sick cross over then tried to dunk and got rim check. Embarrasing moment.

weight check

a verbal request and implied challenge to use heavier weight on exercise apparatus (i.e. a bench press or squat rack) in an over-crowded gym to gain sole usage of the respective equipment.

Tron walked into the gym wanting to bench press, however, all of the benches were full. Luckily for Tron, there was mad weak-sauce on one of the benches. Tron approached the low-life weak-saucer and issued a weight check. Having successfully lifted an exponentially larger amount of weight, the weak-saucer had no choice but to call off troops and recede to a corner to accept his shame.

The Phone Check

when you are walking the wrong direction and don't want to look like a fool walking the opposite way, so you pull out your phone, look at it, then start walking the opposite direction more comfortably.
