Geriatric Thumper Dance

Reminiscent of Thumper the rabbit from the Bambi cartoon, it is the practice unique to elderly people in which they quickly tap their foot on the floor several times in rapid succession immediately prior to raising that leg off the floor so that they can quickly slide on that side of their underwear, pajamas, or pants before falling. Contradicting the apparent belief underlying this behavior, studies by gerontologists have concluded that the Geriatric Thumper Dance is mostly ineffective in preventing old folks from losing their balance.

Samantha: "Grandma, how long have you been lying on the floor this time?"

Grandma: "Sweetie, I'm so glad you came along when you did."

Samantha: "Please Grandma. No more Geriatric Thumper Dance, OK?

A portmanteau of "Trump" and "Simpletons." Delineates the poorly-educated multitudes who gravitate, inexorably, to the banner of Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. Trumpletons not only tolerate their demagogue's blatant disregard of truth & factual evidence, and his dearth of basic human decency - they also cite these traits as the most admirable qualities about Trump and his candidacy. Accordingly, Trumpletons take orgasmic delight in repeating and re-tweeting (or, in the case of these Orwellian sheep, "re-bleating") the myriad fictions and falsehoods Donald Trump disseminates on a daily basis.

**Additionally, what makes "Trumpletons" such a befitting sobriquet is the fact a "Trumpleton" also refers to "air or gas escaping from a male member's urethra." Given how full of proverbial "hot air" Donald Trump is, how much of it he spews forth, and his knack for alluding to his manhood...people who espouse Trump's ideology are, in a sense, huffing an abundance of penile flatulence.**

Bible thumper

An individual who justifies his/her actions by quoting Bible passages. They often reject scientific evidence, pass judgement on others, and have a know-it-all attitude. Most have lost the ability to think critically.

As our Biology teacher showed us pictures of Lucy, a fairly well-preserved Australeopithicus fossil and tried to explain how she had characteristics of both extinct primates and some current primates such as apes, chimpanzees, and humans, some Bible thumper in the back of the room yelled out "We din't come from no monkeys!"
