accidental techie

The accidental techie is usually a person who understands computers or office equipment better than most in the organization, and can figure out how to adapt the knowledge to the organization's needs. This is the go-to person for technology issues at an office that doesn't have or can't afford tech support.

After Jason fixed Ellie's screen resolution he quickly became the accidental techie.

1. a person who routinely wears all black and carries around a wrench and flashlight. Many times seen eating pie backstage.
2. a crucial part of a show, where if there were no techies, the show would not go on.

1. All those TCT techies, all they do is sit around and eat pie.
2. If the show works, the actors get credit, if it bombs, blame it on the techies.

techie

Someone who is working in the technology sector and appears to be annoyingly down to earth and woke—likes rock climbing, wears athleisure, doesn't drink or smoke, goes to festivals—but who is in actuality a cog in an evil system designed to economically subjugate and displace their respective city's population of non-technology workers (low-income, POC, families, elderly, artists, public workers) by driving up rent prices, buying government officials, co-opting all formerly accessible and relevant cultural events, and straining existing infrastructure through privatization.

Ex. Techies are turning Seattle into the next San Francisco.

If our new neighbors are techies I will scream.

Techie

People who work on the technical aspects of theatre; (i.e. Lighting, Sound, Scenic, Costumes, Video)this includes either design or implementation of any of the preceding fields. Quite often underpaid and overworked. Actors typically believe these people in particular to be the "gnomes" or "fairies" that come during the night and make their set appear. Techies can be seen backstage lounging on the fly rail.

Actor1: "Who is that guy sitting over there by all those rope thingies?"

Actor2: "Oh, he's just a techie."

Tealight

a small candle also known as a nightlight, they burn for hours and are contained in a thin metal casing, if left to burn for long enough , the wax will completely liquefy. They can come in many exciting scents and colours but are most commonly white and without a scent. people put them floating in a glass of water or in a small patterned cup or lantern to decorate, create an atmosphere or jazz up an area.

person 1: the guests should be arriving to the party soon but the table is lacking something.. and i can't for the life of me put my finger on what it is!

person2: Here, wack some tealights in these colourful glasses and voila! see how the light shines through and reflects the colours!

techie stupid

techie stupid- is a word that is used to describe yourself or someone else that is extremely challenged and unable to properly use modern technology i.e. cell phones, ipods, computers gaming systems, etc. Some one who can never quite figure out "applications" and has to have help to start a facebook page. Some one who has to use their child as the IT/AV boy and has to call upon them to have help with all technology possibly even the Dvd player and who is still wondering "what the heck is blue ray?" Some one who wonders how modern life has left them behind and you think twitter is the sound a birdie makes.

After I showed grandmother how to retrieve her message off of her cell phone phone she is no longer techie stupid. - or - I still can not figure out how to down load music on my ipod I am so techie stupid.
