nerd

1. A person who is a realist and not an idealist. He/she sees the world for what it truly is and learns from its mistakes and in turn, becomes very successful in life.

2. One who has a vast knowledge about a certain subject, but is not obsessed with it. Don't get us confused with geeks as they are wanna-be nerds who have no life and are obsessed with whatever their fascinations are (usually WoW and shit).

It's unfortunate that there aren't more nerds in the world today.

Damn, son. After Miss Kennedy the librarian schooled me on Pythagoras and math theory, I wanted to make out with her so badly. Now that's nerd appeal!

Nerd Period

That time of the month when you feel particularly nerdy. Often characterized by sudden emotional outbreaks of nerdiness and demands for unreasonable amounts of certain video games or music. No nasty bodily functions involved; a possible exception of less showering may occur, however.

Person 1:
"I think I am on my nerd period.... I played Goldeneye for like 25 hours yesterday, and there aren't even 25 hours in a day. How is that even possible.. with except... maybe... holy shit... person 2! do you know what this means?! I have accidentally slipped into the Starbucks time continuum..and... and......"

Nerd Cave

1. Room 213.
2. A dark room, corner, confined or enclosed area which nerds go to hide from the outside world, especially sunlight.
3. An enclosed area where nerds may thrive, without contact with the outside.

New inhabitants of the Nerd Cave are called "Nerdlings".

1. Nerds tend to in the Nerd Cave during times of intense sunlight.
2. Nerds may hibernate in Nerd Caves for long periods of time.
3. The annual Nerd-a-thon will be held at the Nerd Cave.
4. Scientists have discovered that the Nerd Cave is where the evolution from humans to nerds begins.
