Church-Centric Bible Translation

Church-Centric Bible Translation (CCBT) is a paradigm of Bible translation focussed on the establishing and strengthening of the church using a translation process that is led by leaders of the church and done by Christian 'believers' translating into their own language, as an integral part of their theological and spiritual formation.

CCBT provides the Church with unrestricted freedom to use the highest standard of biblical resources and technology to create, check and publish their translations. CCBT overcomes the licensing obstacle by open-licensing everything that the global church needs (e.g., content, tools, and training.) It overcomes the language obstacle by providing open-licensed resources in all the Gateway Languages so that the church in every language can use the resources through a major language they understand. All content found on the CCBT website is open-licensed (CC-BY-SA).
Five Bible stories have been translated into one of the 120 minority Chadian languages using the church-centric Bible translation model.

Centuries of tradition

Oh being held comically hostage by a reality monster that till burn your souls forever if you do a book wrong...
Hym "And held further hostage by the literal people burning cosmic slaves of the reality monster.... That's the centuries of tradition... Do what I tell you or I'll burn you alive and the a mad Jim Jaspers type is going to burn you forever after I burn you... That's the tradition. But we stopped burning you though guys! We stopped burning you (the creature is still going to burn you) but now we just cannibalize you in abstraction guys.. We're fine now..."

Found in Translation

A phenomenon where meaning, intensity, or significance is not just preserved but Amplified or Exaggerated during communication. Unlike "Lost in Translation," where meaning is diluted(, or Lost), this occurs when people or cultures—especially those with a tradition of storytelling, discussion, or debate—naturally embellish, add layers, or inflate details while conveying information. This often happens without an actual language or medium change but within the same cultural or linguistic setting.
Found in Translation:
“BROOO, you should have seen it! Two fully grown men in the middle of the street after one of them crashed into the other's car. Just like a Bollywood climax scene! One guy was ready to throw hands, and the other looked like he was about to pull off a WWE move! The crowd was waiting for fireworks... AND THEN…

In walks this, badass traffic cop, doesn’t say much, just waves his hand like a pro, and says: ‘Chalo, nikal.’

AND BOOM! Like magic, the two lions hiding their tail, just got in their cars and left like obedient schoolboys. 🤣”

Real Event:
Two people got into a nasty verbal fight after a minor car scratch incident in the middle of the road.
They were about to escalate, but a traffic officer stepped in and simply said, "Bas, chalo. Nikal lo!" (Enough, just move along!).

Stroopwafel Tuesday Tradition

Also known as Stroopwafel Tuesday, Stroopwafel Tuesday tradition is the Fëjland tradition and law that prohibits citizens of consuming food that is not Stroopwafel on tuesdays.
