DIFOM stands for "Do It For Old Mate".

Referencing the old man who waves at the camera in "Shutting Down Our Town" by Jimmy Barnes. Even though he's lost his lifelong job at the Holden factory, as it is no longer manufacturing cars within Australia, he waves with a smile and without a doubt embodies the Aussie spirit.
