The image of Gutsman's ass itself comes from Mega Man, a cartoon based on the video game series of the same same that first aired in 1994's Second Season Episode, "Bad Day at Peril Park" in which Rush, Mega Man's robot dog companion tears off a part of a kangaroo disguise to reveal the person inside the costume was actually Gutsman, Pronounced as Guts Man in the video games, one of the original Robot Masters from the original Mega Man video game on NES.
In the video, along with the original scene from "Bad Day at Peril Park", other clip from episodes are shown, along with other random video sources, most of these end with Gutsman's ass popping up on screen acompanied by a dramatic chime, followed as the sound clip ends, an image of an angered Mega Man.
The video became really popular, and this was one of the early YTP memes, along with Mama Luigi, PINGAS, and YES! YES!.
