Negligedit

To make an edit in any NLE (non linear editor) for broadcast television in one's dressing gown (usually remotely). This can be applied to any similar form of clothing e.g. kimono, peignoir, caftan, robe de chambre etc... In the context of an episode of a TV programme a negligedit can be spotted easily by its casual slap-dash application and out of place shot choice. In a recent study about 76% of negligedits were made in the popular bug riddled 'Media Composer' NLE application.
