jonsing

The phrase "jonsing" is believed to originally derive from the Grateful Dead song "Casey Jones":

"Riding that train high on cocaine, Casey Jones you better watch your speed"

"Jonsing" means to be in a state of withdrawl and/or need that next fix. Originally for drugs, but it has come to generally mean any strong craving (for chocolate, sex, coffee, sugar etc.)

"I'm jonsing hard!"
"I quit smoking yesterday and I'm already jonsing"
"Jonsing for carbs"

An adverb for someone acting in an insubordinate manner. Could also be used as a greeting amongst your friends or family. The origin is derived from Baltimore cosmetologists.

Jim Jonesin'

1) being on many features despite your lack of releases; 2) having your likeness used when having very little to do with the finished product; 3) to fall off


Comes from the fact that Jim Jones seems to be on a large number of mixtapes/albums/singles, but not having a decent selling album, or even a single, since 2006.

This guy in the mall was Mike Jonesing; his phone number was printed on his t-shirt.
