Brewhe

A “Brewhe” is a word used by Italian-Americans as a code word for a Jew. The word’s roots come from the native language of the Jews: Hebrew. Generally, the Italians using it are young Guidos from New York/Jersey who try to act like their parents. 80% of the time, the parents of these young Guidos are from the New York City Boroughs of Queens or the Bronx, and are severely racist and/or obnoxious, which then influences their young offspring of Guidos or Guidettes to act the same way. However, in some instances, the word is used frequently by Italian-Americans from Long Island(90% of the island being known for its heavy Jewish population). The Italians, being a minority in Long Island, use Brewhe instead of “Jew” so that the Jews will not know that the Italians are talking about them.
