Judeo-Christian values

An oxymoron. This is a term uneducated (and people who typically don't want to learn) use to try to clump Judaism and Christianity together, despite them being nothing alike. It is a nonsense phrase.

Bob: "I want to raise my children with Judeo-Christian values"
Janet: "Judaism and Christianity are nothing alike, there's no such thing as 'Judeo-Christian values'"
Bob: "You're wrong!"
Bob: *storms off angry like a child*

moral values

n. One's personal definition of and resolve to practice the proper behavior to exhibit, both in public and private. This may be determined by one's religion, philosophy, carnal desires, or lack thereof.

Propaganda is usually an attempt to to spread one's moral values to others.

Censorship is usually an attempt to impose one's moral values upon propaganda.

perhaps the worst idealogy coined by cheesy politicians. Its best explained as "Do not lie,cheat, or steal and do not tolerate those who do.....". Wow

monetary values

it is when you have money or a satisfaction of helping a business or people the business u work for then collects the satisfaction and then in turn has monetary value.

i worked at a nonprofit organization and the boss told me how much monetary values the business got from the satisfaction of helping others.

core values

This is a new version of the phrase mission statement. These are normally vague and cheesy goals/objectives that cannot be measured.

It's similar in principle to family values but not quite as sinister.

"Our core values are respect, development, empowerment and truthiness"

i.e. we really like these words, they sound great but we sure as hell aren't going to stop selling landmines to rebel armies in Africa.

San Francisco Values

noun, -- gay marriage, cutting and running from Iraq, coddling terrorists, raising taxes, amnesty for illegals

Over the space of a few days, the phrase "San Francisco values" has passed from the lips of conservative FOX News commentator Bill O'Reilly and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich onto the editorial pages of the Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle, where the paper endorsed a Republican congressional candidate because a Democratic House would mean "Pelosi will be speaker and her far-left San Francisco values -- gay marriage, cutting and running from Iraq, coddling terrorists, raising taxes, amnesty for illegals -- will become the House agenda."

In a recent online fundraising pitch, the now-pundit Gingrich asked supporters, "Will everything you've worked so hard to accomplish be lost to the San Francisco values of would-be Speaker Nancy Pelosi?" In Thursday's National Review Online, House Speaker Dennis Hastert asked, "Do we really want Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco values leading the culture war?" Neither elaborated on the meaning of "San Francisco values."
