Transplant

A person (usually in their 20s) that moves from suburban/ rural America to any major city. Generally, these people are running away from or ashamed of their pasts and seeking to fruitlessly reinvent themselves and adhere to every possible perceived "trendy urban" stereotype ( e.g. In NYC, dressed head-to-toe in black, toting a "Manhattan Portage" bag, expensive sunglasses, etc.) making them extremely easy to spot. The phony "city" act is most obnoxious when the "transplant" has friends from their hometown visiting or they are back in their real hometown visiting.

The transplants look to live near busy avenues that offer some sort of social scene, bars, cafes, restaurants, etc.

(Of a trans person) explaining (something) typically to a non trans person, usually about trans issues or identity/categorization in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing.

Transplain

When a transgendered person (typically someone who is assigned male at birth) talks down to cisgendered people (typically cisgendered women) about various topics including biology, gender, gender expression, privilege, etc. Often it is an outlandish idea or talking point that when opposed by a cisgendered person the trans individual or followers of said individual will call the cisgendered person a bigot or transphobic for lack of a better argument.

Amab Transfemme: I take HRT and it gives me a period. I get tender breasts, cramps and I'm super hormonal at certain times of the month.

Cis woman: I'm sorry but that's not a period. You don't have a uterus or ovaries so that's physically impossible.

Amab transfemme: My period is very real to me! I do everything but bleed! You're being exclusionary to trans women! How privileged you are to be Cis! You're transphobic!

Cisgender woman: Did you just transplain my own bodily function to me?
