Spalk

Definition: A portmanteau of "spark" and "talk." To engage in a sudden, unexpected, and unusually interesting conversation with a stranger or acquaintance. Unlike small talk, a spalk is high-energy, intellectually stimulating, and often leaves both parties feeling inspired.
Example: I went in just to buy milk, but the cashier and I ended up spalking for ten minutes about whether or not cereal is technically a soup. It was way better than the usual small talk about the weather.
