The games really have nothing to do with math at all, it has all the popular game titles that you'd find on other flash game websites. Its ingenious URL has managed to slip through most school's website filters for over 22 years, deceiving gullible teachers alike.

1) The website is older than most of its users
2) In an article published by Popular Mechanics, Coolmathgames was listed as one of the 50 most important websites
3) They originally had a slogan, which was "where logic & thinking meets fun & games". It's a very clever slogan as it's technically true (ALL games require logic and thinking).
4) During the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, Coolmathgames saw a drastic increase in popularity
