Someone who ruins a perfectly good joke by either misquoting the punch-line or taking a joke seriously.

Man 1: You haven't seen your cock for days. Man 2: Probably cause it's buried in your mom. Brett: Yeah, your mom has sex with lots of people. (followed by silence)

Batting for Lancashire

An old Yorkshire euphamism for homosexuality said as the person involved is seen as batting for the other team, akin to batting for Boston in the US. Not so common in these more tollerant times as many people no longer see the need to drag the good name of Homosexuality through the mud by comparing it to the population of Lancashire.

Batting 100 is when you are NOT doing perfectly, and so you are "Batting 100" as in baseball, where you would be batting 1000. Life isn't baseball, get over it, its just a metaphor.
