I live in Toronto (regent park) and I’m no stranger to crime. My area is one of the worst parts of the city. But when I spent some time here visit my family, I could not believe how much crime went on for that week. They don’t even live in one of the worst parts of the city but all I could hear were sirens and gun shots. People were stealing in broad daylight and walking around on heroine like the walking dead. I couldn’t fathom how a city with 100000 people had so much SHIT going on. It made me miss regent park which has been said by no one ever! And boy with this place ghetto as fuck. I didn’t realize other parts of Canada had real ghettos, and again I was told that this wasn’t even close to the worst part of the town

Brantford 

A city in Ontario, which is Canada’s equivalent of Detroit. Everyone is poor, white, and have criminal records. The ones that don’t have a record just haven’t been caught yet - and they won’t because the police force is corrupt, lazy, and underfunded. You will see an equal amount of cigarette butts and bullet casings on the ground. There is no “nice” part of the city. Don’t bother owning anything here, it will get stolen. You could get away with murder here, and most people do. Want to live here? Go for it! It’s cheap unlike anywhere else, but you only get two living options: the projects or the ghetto. There’s a reason Gretzky left!
If you come to Brantford and don’t hear gunshots and sirens, congratulations! You just became a part of history!

Brantford 

A shit city in southern Ontario that borders Hamilton and Cambridge.

It is the only city in Canada that, at one point in the history of its existence, has held the number one spot in every single category of crime.

The locals are intolerant and violent to anyone who is not a heterosexual white person, and meth is more commonly found in people’s systems than milk is. Housing prices are lower than anywhere else and for good reason.

Windsor and Scarborough (Toronto) seem like Disney world compared to this dumpster fire of a city. I don’t know how people inhabit this region

I went to Brantford once and saw a shirtless man carrying a handgun, smoking a cigarette, and drinking alcohol out of a bag while walking his Pit bull with a chain. Everyone then proceeded to stare at me in my suit and my car that was still on four wheels because I was considered the unusual one

Brantford 

Brantford is best described as the 24/7 purge. You can do whatever you want there and you won’t get arrested, even if the cops see it. More people open carrying than in Texas and more people shooting each other than Compton. What an awful place, I’m not sure how people live there

Brantford 

Brantford is a medium-sized city on the Grand River in Southern Ontario, home to about 100,000 people. It is best known as the city where the telephone was invented and as the hometown of Wayne Gretzky. If you read all the other descriptions of Brantford on this website, you’d think it's a giant dumpster fire that is devoid of any sane human beings and should be avoided at all costs. This reputation typically comes from smug big-city dwellers who base their entire opinion on nothing more than what they see when driving through downtown or from moving to an area in the vicinity of downtown for a few years because housing was relatively cheap. They then act shocked when a junkie knocks on their door asking for drug money instead of complimenting their pride flag pin. In reality, most of Brantford outside a two-kilometer radius from Colborne Street East is just a normal place with mostly middle-class neighborhoods and even some upscale areas that are quite nice. Yes, the city does have some rough parts that have been heavily affected by drugs and deindustrialization since the 1980s, but to characterize the whole city based on this is disingenuous, especially when many other cities in the region such as London and Hamilton have areas just as bad, if not worse.

Person 2: Wow, that place is awful! I lived there for a few years and there were so many druggies! I would never set foot in that city again!
Person 1: Let me guess, you also lived within two kilometers from downtown.
