[Ego-gasms]

Ego-gasms, the joy and euphoria produced from the dopamine hit from self validation, as portrayed by Tom Hanks after making fire in the movie Castaway. Soccer stars often display such feelings of elation after kicking a goal.

Sadly, such feelings of joy over self validation run both positively and negatively and include acts of self validation by invalidating others , bullying. The APA's DSM V lists "gratification" in the traits for "Antisocial Personality Disorder".

I had ego-gasms for a week after getting an article published.
Bullying is an addiction to ego-gasms from harming others, all forms of abuse are simply tools.

A person who's actual portfolio balance is significantly less than what they say they have. They commonly make big calls for plays and don't follow through with them or only put in a tiny amount. The reason that they trade is to make others respect them and gain attention.

"Damn, the DC nigga is an Ego Trader. He only has a 200$ portfolio, yet he still larps all day."
