Trump made this suggestion after getting a letter from Mark Grenon who told Trump that chlorine dioxide – a powerful bleach used in industrial processes – is “a wonderful detox that can kill 99% of the pathogens in the body” and that it ... “can rid the body of Covid-19”. Because chlorine dioxide can have fatal side-effects when ingested the manufacturers of commercial products with chlorine dioxide held press conferences telling people not to use the product to treat disease and to contact medical professionals when sick.

Trump, a frequent user of Twitter was Twittered by Twitter as the 'tide pod' president.
