You can still skip the grocery store and be independent, by canning and preserving your food at home. You can also join with other people and create a community garden. If you are even more courageous you can start a community farm. There is hope, there is always a path to freedom. It's not normal for us to spend our whole life paying bills. Your food should be all stocked up for 20 years from only 1 year of work. And your days should be spent laying down and wasting your time. Don't let greedy people who own media and want to own your air/food/water supple convince you paying for it is normal. It isn't.
1-Need a pantry(constructed in cornerwall) often from scrap materials
2-Has a small indoor garden (not hydroponic)
3-Mills your own flour
4-has a minimum of 5 years stocked canned food that was all done themselves/with family.
